About the Teacher


Emily Roller is 23 years old.  She has always had a passion for music and a love for children.  Teaching piano lessons combine both of the things she loves most into one.  Emily has been playing the piano since she was 5 years old.  She spent most of her childhood attending various music competitions and participating in ensembles around Texas, and even performing in Carnegie Hall in New York City.   Emily attended Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana studying music performance.  She studied under Ellen Frohnmayer and David Morelock. Emily graduated from Texas Bible Institute in May of 2008 as well.  She is also currently a performer in the critically-acclaimed Dallas Symphony Chorus, and can be found performing most weekends at the beautiful Meyerson Symphony Hall in Dallas.        


Emily is a member of the
Texas Music Educators Association, one of the largest organizations of students and
 teachers in the state of Texas. 
TMEA has been promoting excellence in music education for almost a century.  
        

 Emily married her wonderful husband Shawn in 2008 and  moved to the Dallas Area in November of 2008.  She attends Water's Edge Church in Frisco, TX where she plays piano and sings in the worship band.  She has 6 nephews and 4 neices whom she loves dearly and a wonderful dog named Tozer.
